    • Hobbies: Videogames and puns
    • About yourself: I've always had fun creating content for my family and friends so I want to keep learning how to make progressively crazier ideas for anyone to see.

What We're Making:

In this resource-management game, you will be transported to a world where you will find some of the Spirits of Nature that are responsible for some of the most basic natural resources, like Stone, Wood and Water.

To survive and escape (you don't really like this place) you need to harvest these resources to fulfill a quota before it's too late, for which you will have to disturb the peace and tranquility of this place, annoying some of the spirits that live here.

Your main task will then be to create machines and collect as many resources as you can, but be careful, taking too much too quickly is deadly to the spirits and if you kill a lot of them, that resource won't regenerate ever again!

So the idea is to make sure one is able to collect the resources necessary without destroying the ecosystems, so that the extraction can be made in a sustainable way. Keep in mind that this won't be easy, because if you are too slow in making all the extractions you need for the quota you will lose the run, so make sure you keep the balance with the nature and the extraction.

How We're Developing It:

We are using Godot 4.5 for the development of the game. Currently we just want the game to work, later we plant to be able to focus more on the design of the world and assets that are able to create the expirience we want to achive

  • We’ve started developing the automated area creation in which the game will take place, we plan to be able to have 2 enviroments, rock and forest for the first showcase of our game.
  • We’ve also been developing the ability of the player to create building and gather resources to be able to create more buildings
  • Lastly, we've been working on the UI of the game, we plan to have it more developed by the end, but for now we plan for it to remain simple and functional enough to be shown.

Here is a snippet of what we have for now

What's Next:

Our current focus is on making sure the quota work so that there is a way to fail the game, for example for now there is no way to lose you just gather resources without limit. On that front we also plan on adding the animals that can go extinct so that the game can have some stakes.

Stay Tuned:

Thanks to everyone who read through all of our devlog, we will make sure to keep updating the game with fun features in the future.
Please make sure to stay tuned to see updates in the following months!
